We are looking for an Assembly Technician to join our clients growing multi-disciplinary team to bring a next-generation surgical robotics platform to market. This includes the assembly, and testing of all the company’s systems, sub-systems, and clinical accessories.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
As an early manufacturing technician for the Maestro System in a growing Operations function, you will:
- Execute end-to-end product workflows for company’s capital product and key subassemblies
- Help to maintain an organized manufacturing line, adhering to line clearance procedures
- Perform verification and quality checks for other assembled product
- Working with manufacturing engineering personnel, give feedback for manufacturing work/process instructions improvements
- Support identification, containment, and corrective actions to manufacturing nonconformances
- Support builds for prototypes, validations, and pilot runs, including production line
- Day-to-day activities will be wide ranging, inclusive of inventory management and hands-on assembly/test of product and will be mixed along with New Product Introduction. Will be building sub-assemblies using hand tools, torch tools and verification tools such as volt meters. Will also download s/w and firmware to system.
How You’ll Fit In
- On a daily basis, you will be working as part of a cross-functional & dynamic team
- You will be reporting to our Assembly Technician Lead who will provide guidance and management on your short-, mid- and long-term projects within the organization through weekly 1-1 meetings.
- On a daily basis, you will be in contact with all the team members globally, on an as-needed basis, with frequent interactions with management and technical resources.
- The whole company meets globally a few times a year, and you will rapidly have an opportunity to meet everyone involved.
Education/Experience:
- AS or BS in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Bio Engineering or related discipline preferred
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with manufacturing of complex capital medical devices
- Experience operating a wide variety of capital equipment testing and inspection, ranging from visual/hand inspection to more complex software-based testing
- Experience with some of the following components: PCBA / SMT, machined parts, Sheetmetal, electrical and cable management, electro-mechanical assemblies and/or subcontracted modules
- A good understanding of Quality Management System manufacturing elements such as Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, Line Clearance, Nonconformances, and Deviations.
- Capital Mfg Equipment Assembly experience required
- Able to Lift 30 lbs
