Safety training and the introduction of our safety handbook are critical orientation and on-boarding activities. We also help employees become familiar with customers’ work environments, safe work practices, emergency procedures, and protective equipment. As mandated by law and corporate policy, employees have the right to refuse unsafe work. Employee safety and customer service are paramount in our business; as such, we help employees understand how to recognize safety hazards and report them to on-site management.
Looking After Customers
Richmar is dedicated to helping our customers reach their business objectives, which includes supporting our customers’ key social responsibility initiatives and programs. We are honoured to work in collaboration with our customers, many of whom are actively engaged in their local communities. Our employees play an important role in helping our customers meet their CSR goals, and we are proud that our employees embrace the opportunity to help improve lives around the world through their work and civic involvement.
Protecting The Environment
Richmar strives to continuously reduce our impact on the environment. We have actively reduced our use of printed material and continue to seek innovative methods to reduce paper use even further. We implemented an online Timesheet Portal and Onboarding system which in itself has eliminated the use of paper when communicating with all Richmar employees. We are dedicated to the recycling and disposal of confidential and non-confidential documents in an environmentally friendly fashion. Among our commitment to the safe disposal of multiple materials includes that of all computer equipment. Where possible, we also donate PCs and monitors alike to local to community to re-use.
Richmar also is registered with The Commuter Benefit Program, a voluntary benefit for eligible employees that allows employees to pay for eligible transit or vanpooling expenses with pre-tax dollars. By offering this program, we encourage employees to use vanpools and transit, to help the environment stay clear of smog and air pollution.
Community Engagement
Richmar has always taken pride in our ability to successfully immerse ourselves in Silicon Valley the local community in which we operate. It is our responsibility to give back our success each year to charitable causes. From ensuring families get healthy meals to fighting cancer, Richmar volunteers or makes an annual donation to Second Harvest Food Bank and the American Cancer Society.
