Test Technician I/II

A contract manufacturing company specializing in medical devices is looking for multiple experienced Test Technicians to configure and prepare systems and subsystem for Final Test.

The systems include mechanical, electronics and hardware. The software runs on either a Windows or Linux operating system.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, mechanical assemblies and systems.
  • Determines and develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
  • Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
  • Calibrate subassemblies and optimize for performance.
  • Read and interpret instrument output.
  • Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
  • Electronics debugging, and basic mechanical setup and break down of equipment.
  • Testing and final certification of finished instruments;
  • Building testers and fixtures to specification standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS with 1+ years of experience; AS with 2-3 years’ experience; 4-5+ years’ experience as a test technician working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with instrumentation, test, and electrical debug.
  • Experience with vacuum leak testing / troubleshooting.
  • Experience with handling circuit boards + connector assemblies.
  • Experience with using Automated Testing Equipment/Software and Linux OS’s.
  • Ability to understand and work from manufacturing instructions, mechanical drawings, prints, electrical/pneumatic schematics and bills of materials Strong verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift 60-70 lbs. assisted.
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Work with contributors from other groups and teams.
