A contract manufacturing company specializing in medical device and life science is seeking a QC Inspector to join their team in Fremont,CA.

SUMMARY: Oversee process and conduct QC inspection. Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments and devices to inspect parts. Interfaces with Quality Team, Production, Operations, and Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program and operate CMM.
  • Check parts using manual technique inspection.
  • Good knowledge of GDT is a must.
  • Must have experience in reading blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Conduct QC inspection for: FAI, receiving inspection, incoming inspection, in-process inspection, RMA inspection, customer inspection request, rework inspection, ready to ship inspection (visual inspection and records, DHR & LHR)
  • Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functionality, according to blueprints, parts manuals, company or military standards, and other specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
  • Assist NCR process and disposition.
  • Understand CAPA, rework workflow, and process rejected parts.
  • Participate in MRB meetings.
  • Manage QC Department equipment, tools, and instrument calibration & PM.
  • When necessary, create inspection work instructions, forms, and SOPs.
  • Assist on monthly quality checklist/audit.
  • Participate in audits surrounding to quality department by customers and regulatory (e.g., ISO, Regulatory)
  • Provide training to associates.
  • Assist with other company’s projects.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Machine shop experience is a plus.
  • Understand ISO13485.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Works under minimal supervision
